Poker…Not Just A Game!

You can exercise your mind and enhance your intellectual skills by playing strategy games like Texas Hold ‘Em!

With Facebook and the launch of Zynga poker many more people are being introduced to this great sport with so many benefits…. Since July 2007 over 36,000,000 people have played Zynga Poker! Wow!

The well-known benefits of a regular poker game for adults apply to kids as well: cementing friendships, acquiring social skills, developing critical thinking and honing interpretive and analytical skills. Instead of playing Monopoly or Pictionary…Texas Hold ‘Em is a staple in many households these days for family game night.

Memory plays a large part in learning the rules of poker, the ranks and suits of the cards and the order of hands, and recalling how players have played certain hands in the past.

Did you know Walter Reed Army hospital uses poker to help rehabilitate our returning soldiers that are recovering from brain trauma injuries? That is good stuff!

There's also the role poker has played in the life of Bill Gates, In his book, The Road Ahead, Gates outlines clearly how important poker games were to him during his four semesters at Harvard. It's at the card tables he met Steve Ballmer, now the CEO of Microsoft, who called their company's original business plan "basically an extension of the all-night poker games Bill and I used to play back at Harvard." Of the game, Gates says, "In poker, a player collects different pieces of information -- who's betting boldly, what cards are showing, what this guy's pattern of betting and bluffing is -- and then crunches all that data together to devise a plan for his own hand. I got pretty good at this kind of information processing."

There are many more people playing for fun than ever before…When people play for fun and entertainment more than money, when markets converge people make money…You are asking how??? …. Look what is going on now – poker home biz model, charity poker, social pub leagues, media converge (WSOP – on Television all day long) Facebook poker, family fun night, neighborhood poker nights…so much excitement, so many people learning everyday…the “Average Joe” can now profit from this “POKER” community –whether you are a poker player or not you have the opportunity to make a fortune!…You cannot profit from Zynga, Poker Stars or Full Tilt but you can with PTN…Visit THE POKER TRAINING NETWORK (www.talkpokertoday.com ) to find out more…
